𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

𝗚𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝟰𝗨 is a practice platform founded by Dr. Alex Leow with the aim to deliver a holistic care in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology.

Prior to joining Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur and CENGILD G.I Medical Centre, Dr Alex Leow was an Associate Professor of the Department of Medicine at the University of Malaya and Consultant physician, Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist in University of Malaya Medical Centre and University of Malaya Specialist Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

His areas of interest are diagnostic and advanced therapeutic endoscopy including EUS and ERCP, pancreato-biliary diseases, Helicobacter pylori, inflammatory bowel disease, viral hepatitis B & C and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Having worked for numerous years as a lecturer and Consultant Physician, Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist in UMMC and UMSC, Dr Alex Leow ensured that his knowledge is always kept up-to-date and put strong emphasis on evidence-based medicine. Internationally, he was awarded Asian Young Endoscopist Award by the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in 2014 and did his attachment at the Endoscopy Unit of Kyushu University Hospital in 2013. He has authored and co-authored in numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented in both local and international conferences.

He is currently the Secretary General of the organising committee for the Asian Pacific Digestive Week 2020, a committee member of Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and an invited member to the Asian Endoscopic Ultrasound Group. He is registered as an Internal Medicine Physician, Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist in the National Specialist Register.
