Book a session for job support and careers guidance in the East Midlands

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has launched the Jobs and Careers Service (JCS). This is a new service which offers support and advice for jobs and careers.

Following the launch of this new service, we're making changes to the National Careers Service.

How the service is changing As part of the changes, from 1 October 2026 the current face-to-face element of the National Careers Service will move over to the DWP. This means careers advice will be delivered through DWP careers advisers for adults and young people under 18 who are eligible.

Careers advice for young people in education will continue to be delivered through schools and colleges.

This website (the National Careers Service) will continue to remain live and offer information and digital tools to help people of all ages with their career
