CG Public Health

CG Public Health serves over 42,000 people across 10 cities and multiple townships.  Founded in 1990, initially, our only service was public health nursing.  Over the last 30 years we have grown and evolved and now provide over 50 programs and services to meet the needs of the communities we serve.  With a staff of roughly 45 people, our yearly budget typically sits around 5.27 million dollars.  Only 33% of which comes from local tax dollars.  In 2018 we were the second public health organization in the state to achieve national accreditation through the Public Health Accreditation Board, or PHAB.  As a department, we value collaboration, innovation, adaptability, social responsibility, and financial stewardship.  Our mission, to support healthy communities through prevention, promotion, and protection to achieve our vision of a safer and healthier tomorrow.
