What is it?
The University of Saskatchewan's College of Dentistry is hosting their annual Mouthguard Clinic to provide custom fit mouthguards to the community. A customized mouth guard will be fabricated and be ready for pick up the same day or the following evening. This clinic also serves as a major fundraiser for the graduating class every year.
When is it?
The clinic will be held on Sunday September 18th, from 9am-2pm.
Pick up will be available from 12-6pm on September 18th, or from 6-8pm on September 19th.
How much does it cost?
Standard mouthguards will cost $50 for one and $30 for a second mouthguard made for the same player.
Payment can be made in cash or by e-transfer to usaskmouthguardclinic@gmail.com
How does it work?
1. Pre-book your appointment using the online booking calendar.
2. Arrive at the clinic 10 minutes prior to your prescheduled appointment for sign in and mouthguard color selection.
3. You will then have an impression taken.
4. Return September 18th or 19th for pick up.
5. Enjoy your customized mouthguard!
Why do I need one?
A mouthguard is an essential protective device that is used to prevent injuries to the teeth, bones, lips, and gums during activity.
Mouthguards made at the College of Dentistry are customized to fit each individual and are fabricated using the highest quality laboratory techniques.
Customized mouthguards are superior to the 'boil and bite' type mouthguards by providing superior protection, and are much more comfortable as they are considerably less bulky.
